Wolf Depredation Compensation
The Office of Species Conservation is accepting applications for wolf depredation compensation due to loss. There is $76,826.96 available to livestock producers for verified losses (confirmed kills and injuries that have been verified by Wildlife Services) due to wolves during the 2024 calendar year. Probable kills/injuries are not eligible for funding through the federal funding. The deadline for compensation applications is December 31st, 2024. Wolf Depredation Prevention
The Office of Species Conservation typically accepts proposals between November and February annually for producers interested in funding for proactive, preventative measures such as range riders, game cameras, temporary pens, fladry, fox lights, livestock guardian dogs and other supplies. OSC recognizes that each livestock operation is different and has its own set of challenges. The application period for the 2025 grazing season is currently open until March 1st, 2025. Please complete the application below and return to OSC to be considered for the 2025 funding.
